Rod Stewart described her as "a Bay Area novelty, definitely a must see!"... Christine Adiaz began singing at the age of 3, & playing the piano at 5. This dynamic belter was born in Manila, raised in San Francisco and now resides in Oakland, California. At a very early age, Christine always dreamed of singing in front of people, a “lot” of people. And even with no formal vocal training, her talent for music constantly took her to new heights. Christine has won multiple piano and vocal competitions from 1978 until now, including the Female Vocalist of the Year category at the Pinnacle Fantasy Talent Showcase, and Wild 94.9/Nickelodeon's SF Karaoke Competition where she was awarded an all expense paid trip to Nassau, Bahamas. She has also graced Concord California's Chronicle Pavillion stage singing with Rock & Roll legend Rod Stewart in front of over 12,000 fans. If that was not enough, she aimed for a bigger, tougher, crowd… the sports fans at ATT Park. In 2001 and 2002, Christine sang the National Anthem in front of over 40,000 Giants fans, an experience that Christine described as “a memory to last a lifetime.” She was also featured as one of Ryan Cayabyab's Bay Area talent discovery in The Filipino Channel's (TFC) "World Musikahan".
Despite these accomplishments, when asked what her proudest moment is, her answer surprises many... Christine says, "It's true that the big stints and competitions are usually super exciting and memorable but what I enjoy most is singing in church on Sundays. That is where I feel the best and happiest. It always gives me great honor when I sing at my Heavenly Father's house." Christine has been a soloist and accompanist at St. Augustine Church in South San Francisco since 1992. In 2002, while in church one evening, she heard the angelic voices of the St. Augustine Children's Choir. Since then, she has been working as a conductor, as well as mentor for the children. Christine continues to be a favorite at Bay Area weddings, private functions and corporate events. Her influences include the “Queen of Soul”, Aretha Franklin, “Showstopper”, Liza Minelli, and“International Pop Diva”, Celine Dion, Christine Adiaz’ performances are definitely a must see!
